PETG car charger cable holder

I wanted a holder for my car charger cable in an underground parking lot, where there is no sun and no real temperature variation, so I asked around about whether PETG or ASA made more sense and whether the shape should be an arc like a garden hose holder or just a simple hook. PETG won out, partly because it is stiffer and partly because I have a roll I want to use up. I designed and printed my first version, and it came out far too small.

I wanted to print a holder for my car charger cable. It lives in an underground parking lot, so there is no sun and no real temperature variation to design around, which left me wondering whether PETG was the safe pick or whether I should just use ASA because why not. I also could not decide whether the shape should be an arc, like those garden hose holders, or just a simple hook.

The answer that came back was PETG, on the grounds that it is a bit stiffer than ASA so it would not need to be 10cm thick to avoid drooping under the cable's weight. My cable is not that heavy anyway, and I have a PETG roll I want to get rid of, so that settled it.

I designed and printed one. Sadly, it turned out to be for ants. I really wish I could preview this stuff in VR, because I can never tell how big things will come out.
